For Parents
Everything you need to know about Mathli
What is Mathli?
Mathli is a free math learning app for Swiss children ages 6 to 13. Children practice arithmetic through five fun games — Math Ninja, Cake Fight, Jump Frog, Duck Pond, and Flash Run — each aligned to Swiss curricula.
How does Mathli help my child?
Mathli uses gamification to keep children motivated: XP, badges, streaks, and progression systems turn practice into play.
Adaptive difficulty adjusts to your child's level — questions get harder when they're mastering a topic and easier when they're struggling.
Five different game themes keep things fresh and allow children to practice the same math concepts in different contexts.
🔒 Privacy & Safety
- ✓Your child needs no account, no login and no email — and we collect no personal data from your child whatsoever. Only optional premium features require you, the parent, to create your own account.
- ✓All progress is stored locally in the browser (localStorage). Nothing is ever sent to a server.
- ✓There are no cookies, no tracking, and no advertising. Mathli is fully compliant with the Swiss nDSG.
- ✓If your child clears their browser data, their progress resets — that's the only risk.
Curriculum Alignment
All 38 topics across 7 levels are aligned with official Swiss curricula:
Topics range from basic addition up to 10 (Grade 1) to speed drills and mixed challenges (Grade 7).
Tips for Parents
Let your child choose the game they enjoy — motivation matters more than which theme they pick.
Short daily sessions (10–15 minutes) are more effective than long occasional ones.
Check the Progress page together to celebrate achievements and identify areas for practice.
Encourage your child to try all five games — each offers a different learning experience.
The daily streak feature helps build a consistent practice habit.
