The short version

Mathli has two separate zones: the kids' zone (all games and exercises) collects no personal data whatsoever. Only the optional parent zone processes data — and only the adult parent's.

Kids' zone: zero data collection

  • •Your child needs no account, enters no name and is not tracked.
  • •Progress is stored only locally in the browser (localStorage) and never leaves the device.
  • •No cookies are set and no advertising is shown.
  • •Children see no purchase prompts. All learning content is free.

Parent zone: your account

  • •Parents can voluntarily create their own account (email address and password). The account holder and data subject is you as an adult — not your child.
  • •Purpose: showing the progress overview, managing the optional Plus subscription and sending progress reports.
  • •The legal basis is performance of contract. You can delete your account at any time.
  • •At registration you confirm that you are an adult and a parent or legal guardian.

Optional progress backup

  • •Off by default. Learning statistics are only stored in your account if you actively enable the backup.
  • •Only pseudonymous values are stored (e.g. number of solved exercises per topic) under the neutral label "Child 1" — no name, no date of birth, no photo of your child.
  • •The data is tied to your parent account and can be deleted or disabled by you at any time.

Payments (Mathli Plus)

  • •Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details never reach us.
  • •Stripe processes billing data as an independent provider; Stripe's privacy notices additionally apply.

Emails

  • •With a Plus subscription you receive weekly progress reports about your child (service emails under the contract).
  • •Every email contains an unsubscribe link. We only send promotional newsletters with separate, explicit consent.

Processors and data transfers

  • •Firebase / Google Cloud (account management and database), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email delivery) process data on our behalf.
  • •Data may be transferred to the USA. The providers are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or covered by standard contractual clauses.

Cookieless web analytics

  • •We use Plausible Analytics — a cookieless, EU-hosted analytics tool that creates no personal data and no profiles.
  • •That is why Mathli needs no cookie banner — not even in the parent zone.

Retention and deletion

  • •Account data is kept until you delete your account or request deletion. Local play data can be deleted directly in the browser.

Your rights

  • •You have the right to access, rectify, delete and receive your data, and to object. Write to us at meleaiautomations@gmail.com.
  • •You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
